Miss Print Book Club in March 2012

I hope March is starting off in the right direction for all of you, dear readers. I run an online book club which is getting ready to read a new title for the next two months and wanted to tell you all about it.
For March and April my online book club is reading Fracture by Megan Miranda. I really enjoyed the writing in this book as well as the story and I think it has a lot worth talking about. Fracture is a short book so I hope some of you can fit it in and discuss it a little bit because I really think it has a lot going for it.
If you’re not already familiar with the club and want to see what it’s about (or how to join), you can find the information here: http://missprint.wikispaces.com/
You can find the current book’s page here: http://missprint.wikispaces.com/Fracture
The discussion questions are already posted and ready to, er, discuss here: http://missprint.wikispaces.com/message/list/Fracture

Miss Print Book Club this January

As some of you might already know, I run an online book club where we read and discuss a new book every two months.

The book club is reading my favorite book from 2011 this January and February: The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. Discussion questions are already posted on the Scorpio Races discussion tab and waiting for your thoughts.

Our next two books will be:

Fracture by Megan Miranda (March/April)

Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld (May/June)

Hope to see you all in the discussion threads!

***If you would like to join the Miss Print Book Club go to http://missprint.wikispaces.com/ and click join now in the yellow bar near the top of the page. After that I’ll email you asking to confirm and then you’re in and ready to start talking books!

Miss Print Book Club: November Update

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving.

This is a quick post to let anyone interested know that my online book club is reading All These Things I’ve Done by Gabrielle Zevin until December 31, 2011. (You can read my review and my interview with Gabrielle Zevin here on the blog.)

If you’re interested in joining the discussion, be sure to join the Miss Print Book Club.

You can view the current book page and discussion questions on the book club’s wiki.

Also, I’m happy to announce our first book of 2012 (for January and February) will be The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater.

Miss Print Book Club Poll: January 2012

It’s that time again, help pick what my online book club will read for January and February.

More information about the book club can be found on its wiki: http://missprint.wikispaces.com/

Right now you have to be a wikispaces member (and confirm your email/real person-ness with me) to join in on the discussion. The club is currently on a two month schedule.

In November and December we are reading All These Things I’ve Done by Gabrielle Zevin.

Vote in the poll below for what you want to read in November and December (and if you aren’t yet a member please consider joining–it’s fun!):

Miss Print Book Club: October Update

Just a reminded that the book club is still reading Clarity by Kim Harrington during the month of October.

The discussion is starting to heat up (if there is anyone out there besides me who likes Gabriel, you should come weigh in since the discussion thread is heavily supporting Justin right now!).

You can view the page for Clarity here: http://missprint.wikispaces.com/Clarity

The discussion questions are posted here:

Once again you have until October 31 to share your thoughts about Clarity.

In November and December we’ll be reading All These Things I’ve Done by Gabrielle Zevin. I am crazy excited to see what you guys think of that one.

Also, if you are a fan of hers or fantasy books in general, Books of Wonder in Manhattan (18th Street between 5th and 6th) is having a signing on October 22 from 12pm to 2pm with several authors including Zevin. I’ll definitely be there, let me know if you plan on dropping by :)

Happy reading and I’ll be back in November with another monthly update!
