emmaheadshotMy name is Emma Carbone and I started Miss Print in August of 2007.

I’ve been an avid reader for almost as long as I can remember. I’m have a BA in English Language and Literature and minors in Art History, New York City Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies from Pace University.

I also earned my Master’s of Science in Library and Information Science (with distinction) from Pratt SILS.

I am a feminist. A lot of the posts on this site are written through a feminist lens.

I work as a YA Librarian in a public library branch in Brooklyn. I also review titles for School Library Journal so you may these those reviews floating around book selling sites.

I served as a member of YALSA’s 2015 Popular Paperbacks for Young Adults (PPYA) Committee. You can see the full list here: Link to come.

In 2010, 2011 and 2012 I also served as a Round 2 judge for the Cybils in either Young Adult Speculative Fiction or Young Adult Fiction.
