“But more than anything else, doors are change.” ▪️ It’s Wednesday. What are you reading? ▪️ This is my first day back at work after the long weekend which wound up being extra long after a surprise closure at work yesterday. ▪️ I’m about halfway through The Ten Thousand Doors of January which has been delightful so far. My new favorite game is looking at quotes and asking myself “is this from a portal fantasy or a self help book?” There is more overlap than you’d think! ▪️ #instabooks #currentlyreading #amreading #instareads #lovereading #bookworm #bookblogging #bookblogger #bookstagrammer #bibliophile #booklove #bookphotography #instabook #reading #reader #booktography #bookstagram #beautifulbooks #booksofinstagram #goodreads #bookaholic #bookish #bookishfeature #bookstafeatures #bookstagramfeature #readersofinstagram #unitedbookstagram #thetenthousanddoorsofjanuary #alixeharrow #bookanddoor

How My Week Went:

My main takeaway this week is that I am now the proud owner of a gavel. I’ve been pretty vocal about this summer being hard. I will admit that I foolishly thought a switch would flip in September and that everything would be easier. That hasn’t happened but with the new month/new season I have been regrouping and am ready to adopt a new mindset. I’ve been trying to be gentle with myself and remember all of the progress I have made this year (I really feel like I’ve leveled up) instead of focusing on the things that have not changed. It’s been a good exercise in reframing.

What I Read:

I’m reading The Ten Thousand Doors of January. I like a lot of it. I think some of it might be flawed. But I’m really excited for it to come out so I can talk to more of you about it.
