Week in Review: May 18

missprintweekreviewThis week on the blog you can check out:

May has been a hard reading month–no matter what I pick up, it feels like work and I’m just feeling worn out by all the things I have to read and the reviews I have to write and by the fact that I have no buffer of posts on here.

Here is my favorite post that I shared on Instagram this week:

What was your life like last year? Or five years ago? Or ten? ▪️ I’ve been thinking a lot about cycles and changes (especially after rereading Midwinterblood last month). ▪️ This has been a good year for me. I feel like I’ve leveled up professionally. I’ll have my five month anniversary at my place of employ next month. I have more close friends now than I’ve had in the last decade. I have made space for creative writing. Most of my clothes have pockets. ▪️ That’s a big contras to where I was ten years ago. I hadn’t met most of my good friends yet. My personal life was imploding and my work life would follow soon after. It was a long road back and in a lot of ways it’s only recently that I’ve really started to believe things won’t get that bad again. ▪️ So if you’re in a dark time or a low point now, remember: nothing is forever—especially the bad things. ▪️ #instabooks #currentlyreading #amreading #instareads #lovereading #bookworm #bookblogging #bookblogger #bookstagrammer #bibliophile #booklove #bookphotography #instabook #reading #reader #booktography #bookstagram #beautifulbooks #booksofinstagram #goodreads #bookaholic #bookish #bookishfeature #bookstafeatures #bookstagramfeature #readersofinstagram #unitedbookstagram #midwinterblood #marcussedgwick #lifecycles
