#BeatTheBacklist2019: My Preliminary TBR and Signup

After a not-so-great record with reading challenges in the past, I’ve decided to sign up for the 2019 edition of Beat the Backlist hosted by Novel Knight. You can find the full details on the challenge here: https://www.novelknight.com/btb2019/

I’ll be talking more about my reading goals in a blog post tomorrow but one is to work through my older books that I own and have earmarked to read at home so I think this challenge could be exactly what I need.

Since I have nothing but pride for my Hogwarts house, I’ll also be joining the mini challenge as a Ravenclaw. Full details here: https://www.novelknight.com/btb2019/btb2019minichallenge/

I’m planning on doing regular updates about my challenge progress on Fridays but for now here are some of the books I know I’ll be reading:

  • When My Heart Joins the Thousand by A. J. Steiger
  • The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo
  • All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders
  • Newt’s Emerald by Garth Nix
  • Blanca and Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore
  • Aru Shah and the End of Time by Roshani Chokshi

As part of the challenge, I can also try to fill in a Bingo card with different books. Let me know in the comments if you think I should work on the standard size card of the supersize card.

  1. I joined up as well, I am in Hufflepuff. I look forward to seeing what you read for this challenge. I am doing the standard size card for the bingo personally, as the other seems a little daunting.
