Week in Review: June 9

missprintweekreviewThis week on the blog you can check out:

BookExpo was great but I’m feeling really behind on blog stuff now that I’m getting back to it. I need to buckle down and write some reviews and my recap of BookExpo (not to mention last month’s Harper Collins preview).

Instagram continues to be a fickle mistress. Right when it feels like I’m growing my following I watch my likes plummet. Why must you be like this?

Here are two of my favorite posts I shared on Instagram this week:

What’s the best sequel you’ve read recently? 💎 The Wicked King is definitely one of mine! I read it as soon as I received a very early arc at work. I won’t say much about it yet except that seeing what happens to Jude and Cardan next will be more than worth the wait. 💎 I took this photo of my arc with all my the preorder swag from The Cruel Prince Before #bookexpo. Now I have to put together another photo to feature the mirror I got with a quote from The Wicked King so stay tuned! 💎 #instabooks #amreading #instareads #bookgram #bookworm #bookblogging #bookblogger #bookstagrammer #bibliophile #booklove #bookphotography #instabook #reading #reader #booktography #bookstagram #igreads #booksofinstagram #goodreads #bookaholic #bookish #bookishfeature #bookstafeatures #bookstagramfeature #readersofinstagram #unitedbookstagram #hollyblack #thecruelprince #thewickedking

What’s the best inscription an author has left in a signed book for you? 📚📚📚 Alternately what’s your favorite quote from an author? 📚📚📚 I feel like @sarahreesbrennan is infinitely quotable. Whenever she has a NYC signing I try to catch her (even if I have to go alone) and I have the signed books to prove it. 📚📚📚 The ones shown here are some of my favorites. Especially “the dress is the laziest garment.” 📚📚📚 Obviously if you haven’t read Sarah’s books yet you should get on that. You can start with her debut The Demon’s Lexicon (that pensive boy in the center is Nick from the original cover), start her second series with Unspoken, or for a standalone try Tell the Wind and Fire (Tale of Two Cities retelling) or In Other Lands (I still need to read this one too). If you’re already a Sarah fan tell me your favorite book in the comments. 📚📚📚 #instabooks #currentlyreading #amreading #instareads #bookgram #bookworm #bookblogging #bookblogger #bookstagrammer #bibliophile #booklove #bookphotography #instabook #reading #reader #booktography #bookstagram #igreads #booksofinstagram #goodreads #bookaholic #bookish #bookishfeature #bookstafeatures #bookstagramfeature #readersofinstagram #unitedbookstagram #signedbooks #sarahreesbrennan #autographs
