Week in Review: May 6

I was very busy this week!

On Monday after working the morning I met Nicole at my place of employ where we had lunch (my library’s cafe is Four and Twenty Blackbirds) before heading to the DUMBO area and Powerhouse Arena for Jenny Han’s launch party for Always and Forever, Lara Jean.

We were crazy early because the bookstore (erroneously I think) panicked about the amount of people who RSVPd and said it would be first come, first served to get in. It wound up not being a problem. After buying our books and getting tickets for the signing we decamped to a Starbucks nearby.

There was plenty of time for pictures too. (I got a couple really nice pictures but I haven’t made the time to share them yet.)

On Tuesday I worked the morning again and then headed to the Flatiron Building for Macmillan’s Fall 2017 preview. The commute there was longer than it should have been but all in all it was fine.

Thursday was May the Fourth so I did some low key celebrating with my Millennium Falcon necklace and some crafts for the kids at work.

This week I am doing my darnedest to finish Because You Love to Hate Me (which I think I just hate?). I also finished When Dimple Met Rishi–so fun! My next read will probably be a comic because I have a stack building up at work and then obviously I’ll be diving into Always and Forever, Lara Jean.

In case you missed it, here’s a fun photo I got to share for Spill Zone courtesy of the publisher First Second:
