Week in Review: March 20

missprintweekreviewThis week on the blog you can check out:

This week was spent reviewing a lot of titles that were highly anticipated but wound up being big disappointments for me. So it goes! I’ve also been doing a lot of planning for April’s Poetically Speaking. I have some great guest posts from friends and authors as well as several interviews. It’s going to be great!

Off the blog I’ve been getting stuff organized with new Maker Kits at work, planning for a booktalk/new books presentation I’m organizing with the committee I chair (so fancy, right?), and ordering some replacement copies for the YA collection. I also did my first Babies and Books program since July which was actually really fun and not the disaster I had feared!

In the rest of my life I’ve been reading at a pretty nice pace and knocking books off my lists. I got rid of about ten books last week and am hoping to get rid of more once I decide if the ones in “to sell?” limbo should be kept or what. I also need to go through what I’m selling and decide if they just have no resale value. Do you sell books online? Where?

I’m also taking a hard look at my financial situation and making firmer plans to deal with my remaining tax installment payments and just get things more organized.

The name of the game this week was restoring order and I’m happy to say that I’ve been really successful in that respect

Oh, and the Curvy Barbie I ordered back in February finally came and she is everything I hoped for!

If you want to see how my month in reading is shaking out be sure to check out my March Reading Tracker.

How was your week?
