Week in Review: November 1

missprintweekreviewThis week on the blog you can check out:

It was a short week made longer by my lingering cold illness which is why this post is so late. Halloween was incredibly quiet although I did enjoy this year’s coverage of the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade on New York 1.

I got this awesome packaged from mt OTSP Secret Sister just in time for the season:

Which led to this coloring adventure:

I got a very shiny and well-packaged ARC from Scholastic:

And, because it is FINALLY November, I also started decorating:

I also got some sweet bookmail at work:

If you want to see how I’m doing with BEA 2015 books check here.

November 1: Almost forgot to make this post! I am finishing up Passenger before moving onto new titles. Nominations are closed for my committee so I’m hoping to really be able to buckle down and get some of these books read.

November 5: Greta and the Goblin King was fun if weak in terms of world building. Not what I needed it to be (too thin as a retelling) but enjoyable enough.

November 17: Lots of duds so far this month. Never Never was not quite what I wanted it to be but still interesting and I already have friends to whom I plan to recommend it. It’s the weird time of year where books I read may not be reviewed this  calendar year on the blog and I am torn between shiny ARCs for next year’s books and the books I have to read from this year.

November 20: I’m really buckling down to finish committee reading and it is paying off! Two books left! I also am starting to read for my place of employ’s Mock Printz in December (which is why I have an arc of Challenger Deep from Amazon Vine at all). SO close to being able to read whatever the hell I want for a while!
