Week in Review: October 18

missprintweekreviewThis week on the blog you can check out:

This week I only had to work three days–one of my which I spent at an all-day publisher’s preview event and half of another was spent at a fun training where I gave two presentation type things.

Because I’m an idiot, I managed to seriously pull a muscle in my left hand such that my thumb barely moves. It’s . . . not that great. I already have more range of motion from yesterday when it happened but my grip is still shot. For most right-handed people this would not be that big of a problem. Turns out I am actually very ambidextrous though so it’s been limiting. And annoying.

This week I read Uprooted and there is just no way around it: the book was a slog. I’m still trying to figure out why exactly but suffice to say a lot of things did NOT work for me. I just want to go and reread Howl’s Moving Castle now instead. I’m still so happy to have gotten it from my lovely Secret Sister but I’m sad I didn’t love it when I thought I would. Alas!
