This one is pretty easy because I have had to be very regimented about my reading lately. I even have a checklist in my phone. (Which of course guarantees I don’t want to read any of the relevant books. Alas.) Some of them are being read for super secret reasons so you’ll just have to guess about when/if I’ll talk about them here :)
UPDATE: I realized I wrote this so far in advance that I had read a lot of the books! Yay for new books to add to the list!
The Secret Side of Empty by Maria E. AndreuBlind by Rachel DeWoskin- The Agency: A Spy in the House by Y. S. Yee
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny HanBlank Confession by Pete Hautman- Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume
- Scat by Carl Hiassen
- Struck by Lightning by Chris Colfer
- Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
- The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan C. Bradley
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (I’ll be done with this by the time it points but I list it so as to document the fact that it felt like this book would never, ever end.)
So here are the five replacements. (Sadly some of the above are on hold from the library so they are taking FOREVER to get to me.)
- Criminal by Terra Elan McVoy (You can’t necessarily tell from the blog but I love Terra and she is partly why I blog every day in April. So excited to finally read this!)
- The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp (I am reading this right now and I maintain that the only way it makes sense is if Sutter is a sociopath and murders everyone by the end. There is just no other way this can go.)
- The Edge of Falling by Rebecca Serle (I’m due for a fun NY book and Gabrielle Zevin blurbed it.)
- The Unbound by Victoria Schwab (Because I loved the first book and need more. Duh.)
- Open spot for the sequels I am desperately waiting for but are not out yet. (The One by Kiera Cass–I had preordered but I might wait and read it first in case it makes me want to throw something. Isla and the Happy Ever After by Stephanie Perkins, Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers, The Strange Maid by Tessa Gratton, Bad Luck Girl by Sarah Zettel.)
