Week in Review: March 9

I’ve decided to try something new because I want to . . . do more stuff on the blog. So since I’ve always thought it made more sense for weeks to start on Mondays, I will be using every Sunday to talk about the week in review in terms of things that happened and blog stuff. (This is entirely inspired by Kayla over at The Thousand Lives with thanks to Andi at Andi’s ABCs for naming/graphics feedback help and Nicole the Book Bandit for further feedback.

And that’s pretty much it. But I have been planning a lot of other things including my next Synchronized Read with Nicole, this weekly review feature, a retro review feature that is going to start up in August. I also was crazy busy at work getting things ready for the story program I coordinate and making sure the 18 branches were good to go (they were!). In blog news my next big project is queueing up content for April during which I’ll be blogging every day–more on that in, well, April.

I also received some fun stuff in the mail for my YALSA committee work which I can’t tell you about, an ARC of To All the Boy’s I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han, and a family tree making software.

I theoretically should also have received my finished copy of The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski except that Barnes & Noble’s website completely let me down. I won’t bore you with details but two days of nonsense devolved into me direct messaging the BN customer care account on Twitter. The book is hopefully shipped now and they gave me an extra discount as well. (I also bought Split Second by Kasie West because I am too mad at BN to shop there for a while so I wanted to finish off my gift card.)

My mom and I also went shopping for spring clothes which while not necessary is really nice because a lot of my clothes are either old and tatty, too big/shapeless, or uncomfortable. So it’s nice.

As I hoard organize books for the big NYC Teen Author Fest events I’m also debating buying copies of The Edge of Falling by Rebecca Serle and Bright Before Sunrise by Tiffany Schmidt. What say you, dear readers?
