I just got a new haircut. It’s really short and strikingly similar to a haircut I had when I was five. But it’s cute and easy and looks good on me. I also feel sassier/cooler with my non-shaggy mess of hair.

But. I think it makes me look younger.

Case in point from the middle of a conversation with a patron:

Patron (seemingly from out of nowhere): “You are so young.”

Miss Print: “. . .”

Patron: “How old are you? If you don’t mind my asking.”

Miss Print: “Twenty-two.”

Patron: “Do you plan on pursuing a library career?”

Miss Print: “Why yes. I start graduate school this September.”

Patron: “Well, that’s excellent. Good for you.”

Miss Print: “. . .”
