This beautiful bracelet has 5mm mother of pearl beads in a delectable pistachio color. These uniquely colored beads are on a silver plated stainless steel coil.

From Our Gift Cottage: Colorful Glass Bead Necklace

This week I have cheerful and classy multi-colored glass bead necklace:

This is a very beautiful handmade one of a kind necklace created and designed by Diane. It is a long 48 inches with no clasp to just go over the head.

There are 10 different color and size glass beads which include red, pink and blue flower shapes, purple pyramids and lampwork silver lined beads with a red swirls, as well as lavender, green and blue crystal beads. All of the beads are very beautiful and unique.

Each bead is about 1/2 inch with hand wrapped end loops and a sterling silver plated oval link in between. A colorful and unusual piece, this necklace will add the perfect punch of color and style to any outfit.

This week I have a domino pendant with a fashion model walking in the rain:

This altered art domino is decoupaged with a stylish woman walking in the rain. She is using a large red umbrella which matches her red heels. The pendant is accented with glitter and sealed with a glossy lacquer. The hand wrapped silver wire bale features a faceted cube bead.

The pendant is a genuine domino measuring 1 x 2 inches. The back has regular domino dots.This pendant is an absolute steal at five dollars.

From Our Gift Cottage: Raphael Angel Cameo

This week I have a cameo featuring the contemplative angel made famous by Raphael:

This resin cameo is an interpretation of the painting of a Cherub Angel by the Italian Renaissance painter Raphael, considered one of the greatest artists of all time (not to mention the most popular). (You can see the inspiration for this angel cameo at the bottom of Raphael’s oil painting The Sistine Madonna at artchive.com.)

The beautiful angel in the cameo is ecru on a brown background. The cameo is set in an antique gold plated setting with a bale and a bar pin on the back so it can be worn as a pin or a pendant.

From Our Gift Cottage: Vintage Button and Agate Pendant

This week I have a unique button and agate pendant:

This unique pendant begins with a moss green donut-shaped piece of agate. Mounted atop the agate piece is a vintage button with a faux teardrop pearl in the center. The back is finished off with a gold filigree. The antique look of the button combined with the smooth lines of the agate create a fabulous accessory for anyone hoping to capture that Victorian (or, dare I say, steampunk?) vibe in their wardrobe.

The pendant is a 40mm (1 5/8 inch) with a vintage 1 inch gold finish tear drop button in the center. It comes on a 28 inch black satin cord.

From Our Gift Cottage: Blue China Cat’s Eye Necklace

This week I have a nice, long necklace made from Blue China Cat’s Eye beads:

This unique one of a kind necklace is made with China Blue Cat’s Eye 8mm (1/4 inch) Beads.
It is 40 inches long with a silver plated hook clasp that can be worn at the side as a lovely accent.
It is hand strung and hand knotted between each bead with strong jeweler’s thread.

The Cat’s Eye gemstone is found in China, India, Ceylon, Brazil and many other countries. It is easily identified by the band of light moving across the stone called the chatoyance, which can also be seen in other stones such as Tigers Eye. A gem having a white band of light is supposed to be best, which these beads do have.

The other great thing about this necklace is that it is, essentially, magic.

Let me explain:

Folklore says that Cat’s Eye gemstone jewelry should be worn when there are obstacles in business, fear of accidents and despair in life. It is said to bring strength, brightness, bravery, pleasure, bliss, and prosperity. Cat’s eye gemstone jewelry is also said to destroy sorrow, prevent poverty and disease and ward off calamities and protect one from evil spirits and hidden enemies.

From Our Gift Cottage: Red Haired Woman Cloisonne Dangle Earrings

This week I have an elegant pair of cloisonne earrings:

These cloisonne earrings have a lovely young woman with long red hair. The background is pearlescent white with gold detail.

The hooks are 22k gold plated Stainless Steel so they are hypo-allergenic.
Brilliant colors and a fashionable Art Nouveau style.

The puffy ovals are the same on both sides and 1 1/4 inches x 1 inch. The hand wrapped copper bales have an end bead to add an extra element to these cameo style earrings.

Cloisonne is a centuries-old technique that requires skilled artisans to arrange dozens of tiny cells on a brass surface, layer by layer, then fill-in with durable colored enamel, which is fired to finish. Gold-color edges are a beautiful contrast to the bright artwork found on each double-sided piece.

An elegant accessory for any discerning woman.

This week we have a new exclusive red agate station necklace.

This Red Agate Quartz Gemstone Necklace with Stainless Steel Chain is 30 inches long.
Each bead has a 3 inch chain between with a Stainless Steel lobster claw clasp at the back.
The free form donut bead is 1 1/4 inch from point to point with multi colored faceted agate beads in the centers.

This one-of-a-kind necklace was designed by Diane and is exclusive to our shop.

From Our Gift Cottage: Free Form Rose Quartz Necklace

This is a weekly feature exhibiting different handmade jewelry items available for sale at my mom’s Etsy shop: Diane and Emma’s Gift Cottage. (She’s Diane and I’m Emma. We make jewelry–together!)

This week I want to show off a really unique Rose Quartz Necklace:

This Rose Quartz necklace is 24 inches long and made with unique free form stones on one necklace that make it a real statement piece.

It is hand knotted to a fancy silver plated steel chain with a toggle clasp. The necklace was designed by Diane (my mom) and made by her so it is one of a kind and exclusive to us.

The Rose Quartz stones are about 1 to 1 1/2 inches with 7mm round beads in between. The fancy Steel chain is oxidized silver plate and is a ladder link with each link measuring about 3 by 4mm. The silver toggle clasp is 3/8 inch.

From Our Gift Cottage: Blue Owl Earrings

This week I am going to let you all in on a secret involving these delightful glass earrings:

I am obsessed with owls. Wise, attractive, cute, and just a little bit tough–owls are, in my opinion, are awesome.

These owls are glass lampwork beads. They are 3/4 inch and dangle about 1 1/2 inch from the ear wire which is hypo-allergenic stainless steel.

The owls adorable with their big black eyes and yellow beaks. Lightweight and fun, the earrings are easy to wear and will add a great pop of color to any outfit. Sure to get tons of compliments.
